Reddit's iconic "ask me anything" posts (AMAs) are set to feel even more special with new upgrades rolling out sitewide on Thursday. These updates, while not a complete overhaul, bring a fresh emphasis to the popular Q&A sessions.

Starting Thursday, a new AMA tab will introduce special features like scheduling and promoting an AMA within a single post. Post creators can also include up to five cohosts, whose responses will be tagged accordingly in the comments. Additionally, hosts can add a closing note after the AMA concludes, sharing final thoughts, links, or promotional information.

For regular users, a new RSVP feature will allow them to receive notifications so they don’t miss an AMA. Once live, new tabs enable readers to filter comments by answered and unanswered questions. Scheduled AMAs will also have labels indicating if they’re upcoming, live, or past.

Reddit has been testing this new format for a while, allowing users to experience it in various AMAs. Examples include a session with Slipknot percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan, another cohosted by journalists and a man who was falsely imprisoned for nearly four decades, and a session by Homelander from Amazon Prime’s The Boys.
