AT&T has revised its satellite calling advertisement after T-Mobile raised concerns over the language used. The original "Epic Bad Golf Day" ad featuring Ben Stiller, released in April, concluded with the phrase "the future of help is an AT&T satellite call away." However, this has now been altered to "will be a satellite call away."
T-Mobile filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau’s national advertising division, arguing that AT&T’s initial wording suggested that its Supplemental Coverage from Space service was already accessible to customers. Although AT&T partnered with AST SpaceMobile in May to introduce the service, it is not yet available and may take several months to launch. In contrast, T-Mobile plans to roll out its own Starlink-based satellite calling service later this fall.
