Recent leaks suggest that Google’s next generation of earbuds, the Pixel Buds Pro 2, could introduce significant improvements, including the integration of Google’s own "Tensor A1" chip. This new chip is expected to deliver twice the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) compared to previous models, marking the first time Google’s in-house processor has been extended beyond its smartphones to its earbuds.

The leaked specifications indicate that the Pixel Buds Pro 2 may offer up to 30 hours of playback time with the charging case or up to 8 hours without it. However, it remains unclear whether these figures apply with ANC enabled. For comparison, the original Pixel Buds Pro provided up to 31 hours of listening time with the case when ANC was off, or 11 hours without the case.

Additionally, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are rumored to feature conversation detection, a technology that Google introduced with the previous model. The earbuds are also expected to connect seamlessly with other Pixel devices, including the Pixel Watch, tablet, and phone.

This leak comes just ahead of Google’s anticipated announcement of the Pixel Buds Pro 2, alongside other products like the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Images have already surfaced, showing the new earbuds in a variety of colors, with a design that includes smaller wing tips and an updated charging case, which now appears to have a built-in speaker.

With these updates, Google seems to be gearing up to offer a more integrated and feature-rich audio experience with the Pixel Buds Pro 2.
