HyperX has introduced updated versions of its popular QuadCast USB gaming microphones. The newly released QuadCast 2 and QuadCast 2 S now offer a refined multifunction dial and improved recording capabilities, catering to gamers and content creators alike.

The original QuadCast models were praised for their versatile features, such as multiple pickup patterns and customizable LED lighting, all while staying under the $200 mark. However, recording quality was capped at 16-bit/48kHz. The new QuadCast 2 upgrades the quality to 24-bit/96kHz, and the QuadCast 2 S goes even further with an impressive 32-bit/192kHz.

Despite these improvements, the price remains competitive. The QuadCast 2 is now priced at $149.99 (up from $139.99), while the QuadCast 2 S has seen a slight increase to $199.99 (previously $159.99).

Both microphones now come with USB-C ports instead of the microUSB found in previous models. A key enhancement is the multifunction dial, replacing separate knobs for gain, volume, monitoring, and polar pattern selection. This change simplifies adjustments during use, making the mics more user-friendly.

Additionally, the redesigned shock mounts allow for easier removal without requiring disassembly. The LED lighting feature remains, with the QuadCast 2 sticking to its signature red LEDs, while the QuadCast 2 S offers customizable RGB lighting controlled via HyperX’s Ngenuity software.

The QuadCast 2 is available now, with the QuadCast 2 S expected to be released in November.

This update positions HyperX’s QuadCast microphones as strong contenders in the gaming and streaming market, offering higher recording quality and more convenience for users.
