Nvidia is about to make it easier for gamers to enjoy Xbox titles on its GeForce Now streaming platform. Beginning August 22, 2024, users will be able to link their Xbox accounts to GeForce Now, enabling automatic sign-ins for supported games. This feature means that once you connect your Xbox profile, it will remain linked for future GeForce Now sessions, eliminating the need for repeated sign-ins.
Nvidia explains that this feature complements the existing Xbox game library sync on GeForce Now, allowing users to connect their supported Xbox Game Pass and Microsoft Store games to the cloud streaming service. Nvidia initially provided access to PC Game Pass and Microsoft Store games on GeForce Now last year, and later introduced account syncing. However, manual authentication was still required for each session—something this new update resolves by making it a one-time setup.
These enhancements follow closely behind Microsoft’s recent integration of GeForce Now into Xbox game listings on the web. Now, when viewing a game on Microsoft’s site, users can choose between Xbox Cloud Gaming or GeForce Now for streaming.
This collaboration is a result of a 10-year deal between Nvidia and Microsoft, which includes licensing Xbox PC games for GeForce Now, along with titles from Activision Blizzard.
The improved functionality highlights the growing partnership between Nvidia and Microsoft, making cloud gaming more convenient for players who use both platforms.
