Lenovo's Legion Go handheld gaming PC may have had a rocky start last fall, but the company is forging ahead with new developments and accessories. As part of this push, Lenovo is introducing several add-ons that enhance the experience for Legion Go users, indicating that the company remains committed to improving its portable gaming device.
Among the new accessories is an official $65 USB-C dock, set to be available this August. This dock includes a single 4K60 HDMI output, 100W USB-C Power Delivery input, two USB-A ports, an extra USB-C port, and gigabit Ethernet. While it may not be groundbreaking in terms of features, it's designed specifically to accommodate the bulkier Legion Go, making it a better fit than some third-party options.
Another addition is the $50 "Charging Connector" wedge, arriving in October, which allows the Legion Go’s detachable controllers to be combined into a single gamepad. The wedge also features a 10.55 watt-hour internal battery that charges both controllers simultaneously via a single USB-C cable.
In November, Lenovo will release a set of swappable joystick tops and caps for just $10, offering various shapes, sizes, and colors to suit different preferences. These could be a great replacement option for those who have accidentally lost the original joystick tops, which are prone to coming off when pulling the device out of a bag.
Finally, in December, Lenovo will launch a $30 zippered carry case that’s larger than the original, with added space for accessories and a power adapter.
These new accessories underscore Lenovo’s ongoing efforts to refine and support the Legion Go, even as the company considers a possible successor with a smaller seven-inch screen. Whether or not the Legion Go was a hit upon its release, Lenovo’s commitment to improving the device suggests they’re still in the game when it comes to handheld PC gaming.
