Rumors are circulating that Apple's upcoming iPhone SE 4 could feature an OLED display, marking a significant upgrade from its traditional LCD screen. According to reports from Nikkei Asia, Apple has started ordering these displays from suppliers BOE and LG Display, hinting at a possible release of the new iPhone SE in early 2025.

Speculation about this shift from LCD to OLED has been ongoing for over a year, but it now seems that Apple is moving forward with the transition. Production for the iPhone SE 4 is expected to begin as early as next month.

In addition to the display upgrade, the new iPhone SE is anticipated to resemble the iPhone 14, sporting a 6.1-inch screen and possibly replacing Touch ID with Face ID. The phone might also feature an Action Button, though it will likely retain a single camera setup like its predecessors.

One of the most intriguing rumors is that the iPhone SE 4 could support Apple's on-device multimodal AI, potentially making it more powerful than the upcoming iPhone 15, which is expected to have only 6GB of RAM and won't include this advanced AI technology.

With these potential enhancements, the iPhone SE 4 could become a more competitive alternative to Apple's flagship models.
